Shape up or ship out may have to be the Denver Broncos new team motto. Disgruntled quarterback Jay Cutler was sent to the Bears, disgruntled wide receiver Brandon Marshall was traded to the Miami Dolphins, and now the Broncos have traded disgruntled tight end Tony Scheffler in a three-team trade. Scheffler is on his way to the Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles receive Ernie Simms, and the Broncos get two currently undisclosed draft choices, according to breaking news from The Denver Post.
Coach Josh McDaniels must really adhere to the quote, "out with the old, and in with the new," for after it is all said and done, he'll almost have a brand new team from the one he inherited when he got to Denver. This year's draft is only 3 days away, and the Broncos are stockpiling draft picks. It'll be interesting to see if they use some of them to move up the draft board, and use them all to get more new blood in the Mile High City.
