Davis' Scream Propels Celtics to Game 4 Victory
The Los Angeles Lakers and their fans have got to be feeling pretty uneasy today. The Boston Celtics had a terrible offensive performance and still came out with the 96-89 victory in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, tying the series at 2-2. Kevin Garnett couldn't hit an open shot to save his life, Ray Allen's shooting struggles continued, and the Lakers didn't even guard Rajon Rondo until he got to the free throw line. The Celtic bench, however, ignited the team and with their energy and fight turned the game around for the green and white. Glen Davis and Nate Robinson gave the offensive spark, while Tony Allen played incredible defense on Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant.
The turning point was Davis' put back that they made while getting fouled. The crowd went crazy, a timeout was called, and Davis went crazy. His scream, as seen in the picture to the left, was complete madness. Robinson then jumped on his back, and drool flew out of his mouth. It wasn't pretty, but it did the trick, and propelled the Celtics to the Game 4 victory.
The Celtics will be hard to beat if they are able to sustain that kind of intensity. Game 5 is set for Sunday in Boston, and if it's like the previous four games, it should be fun to watch.
