Denver improved their record to 10-5 on Wednesday and are now just 2 games back of the Thunder. The win came in Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center against the 76ers in what was a close matchup throughout and needed an overtime period to produce a winner. The two teams have both been very impressive on the year with the 76ers at 10 wins and 4 losses following the game. The game showed that both teams have good young players who will be mainstays in the league for years to come. In the end it was an old friend of Philly that would be the difference in the game and help bring home a win for the Nuggets.
The 76ers were led by T Young who scored 22 in the ball game. Turner also added 20 points and got 11 rebounds in the contest. Iguodala just missed a triple-double in the contest scoring 11 points with 10 rebounds and 9 assist. The 6ers are still in first in their division and lead the 2nd place team by 4 games despite the loss.
Denver won thanks in large part to Andre Miller who scored a season high 28 points in the game. Miller, an ex 76er, had a good homecoming on Wednesday and added 8 rebounds and 10 assist to his point total nearly missing a triple-double. Before going into overtime, Miller scored the last ten points for Denver. He added what would be the game winner as well in what appeared to be a statement game for Miller.
