The Nuggets are really starting to play like a team that could make a significant impact in the NBA this year. They have won 5 of their past 6 contest after their latest 108-104 victory over the Wizards on Friday. The win came after a slow start for the Nuggets who were down 37-27 after the first quarter. In the end though they came back scoring 34 in the 2nd and securing their 11th victory of the season.
Al Harrington, who scored 29 in the contest, led the Nuggets. Harrington is quickly showing the league that he can play with some of the games best. Lawson provided 9 rebounds and 6 assists to help the Nuggets in the game as well. The win came away from Denver and improved Denver’s away record to 5-3 on the season.
The Wizards continue to struggle as the loss moves them to just 2-13 on the season. They are in the NBA basement right now and have shown no side of moving up. Both of their wins have come at home this season and they are yet to win a game on the road. They have been showing some small signs of improvement lately by at least putting up points. Nick Young led the Wizards with 25 points in the contest. Teammate John Wall led the team in both rebounds and assist securing 9 rebounds and 10 assists.
Denver will look to continue their success in New York Saturday against a Knick’s team that has had significant struggles of their own this season.
