
The Nuggets won in overtime Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nuggets win brings their record to 18-15 this season while improving their home record to 9-7 in Denver games. The team is really showing a lot of promise this season and seems to have some pieces to move forward into the future with. The Timberwolves lost on a crucial mistake by one of their teammates. Denver somehow finds themselves in second place in the division behind the Thunder. They seem to have too much space between them though as they are currently back 7.5 games.
The Nuggets were led by Harrington who scored 31 in the contest. Faried led the team in rebounds with 14 while Miller led in assist with 12. The Nuggets started off very slow as they fell behind 30-18 after the first quarter. They quickly caught up in the second though, as they scored 33 points to just 16 by the Timberwolves. The Nuggets ultimately won by outscoring the Wolves in overtime 10-8. They gave up 47 points in the second half, which got Minnesota back into the game.
The Wolves were led by Kevin Love who scored 22 points and added 13 rebounds. Ridnour added 6 assist to lead the team as well. The team’s most impressive quarter came in the first when they scored 30 points. The win improved the team’s record to 16-17 on the year and improved their away record to 7-7. Minnesota finds themselves in 4th in the division now.
