
The Nuggets lost to the Thunder 124-118 on Sunday in Oklahoma. The Nuggets played hard and got the game into overtime against the great Thunder squad, but fell short in the end. Regardless, Denver has really shown some drive lately as they have played very competitively against tough competition. The loss brings their record to 17-15 on the year while their away record falls to 9-8. The Nuggets shot great throughout the game, but unfortunately just came up short.
The Nuggets were led by Afflalo who scored 27 in the contest. Harrington scored 11 rebounds to lead the team as well while Miller added 10 assists to lead the team. The Nuggets shot great and scored more than 25 points in each quarter of the game. This included a game high 31 in the 2nd quarter. The team was up just 5 going into the second half, but lost that lead in the third and ultimately ending up in overtime.
The Thunder were hot from the field as well and also scored 25 plus in each quarter. Kevin Durant led all as he got a career-high 51. Ibaka added 15 rebounds for the team as well while Westbrook had 9 assist to lead the team. The team took over in the overtime period and scored 13 to just 7 from the Nuggets. This late OT surge led to the victory. The Thunder move their record to 24-7 overall on the year while they are an amazing 12-1 at home this season.
