The greatest golfer of our time, Tiger Woods, made his return to the PGA Tour today, and played like he had never left. He finished the round -4, shooting a 68, and it was the best first round he's ever played in the Masters' tournament. This puts Woods only two shots back from leader, Fred Couples.
One could only imagine what was going through Tiger's head as he approached the first tee, saw the gallery and the people lining the fairway. The pressure had to be incredible. He, however, took out the driver and put one down the middle of the fairway. In his press conference, from an Associated Press story, he said, ""It felt normal. Try to hit a little fade off the first tee, try to take something off of it and make sure I got it in play. That was about it. From there, I just went about my business."
Tiger went about his business, indeed, and is definitely in contention for the green jacket. Three more rounds of golf follow, and the world will watch, as Tiger goes for another win in a major championship.
