Another round down, with 18 holes remaining. Birdies and bogeys were the theme of Tiger Wood's third round, which ended in him shooting a -2, 70, for the second consecutive day. It was a battle for him all day, and he talked about it in his press conference saying, "I was fighting it all day. I really struggled with the pace of the greens, fighting my swing. It was a tough day. But it was nice, after struggling, to fight back into the ball game. At one point, I was seven back. To claw my way back to three. I’m in good shape.”
After three rounds Woods is four back from leader, Lee Westood, three behind Phil Mickelson, and tied for third with K.J. Choi. Like Woods said, he believes he's in good shape, and he is, for Westwood has never won a major, and one knows Tiger will be wearing red tomorrow.
If there is a player that can gain some shots on a tough course, it's Tiger, and he'll be doing all he can to win another green jacket. Sunday is shaping up to be something special. It will be a great finale at Augusta National.
